We may not remember all of the exciting goings-on in Houston 10 years ago, but I definitely recall the city being abuzz with excitement from the last time the Astros made the playoffs. Here in October 2015, a full decade later, the city is buzzing once again as the last night's game in New York saw the Astros defeat the Yankees and continue on to the American League Division Series. Meanwhile, Houstonians are finding delicious ways to celebrate our star team as they prepare to take on the Kansas City Royals on Thursday, October 8.

Michael's Cookie Jar, the Houston-based cookie powerhouse, has always been a supporter of the city's sports teams, offering customers fun selections of cookies in decorative Rockets, Texans and Astros designs. The store's latest autumn cookie tower features a wide variety of themed pumpkins, spooky ghosts, and Texas-shaped cookies in support of the Texans, reflecting the obvious elements of the fall season in Houston.

The team at Michael's Cookie Jar also keeps up with all of the latest happenings in the sports world to provide customers the most up-to-date cookies possible. To wit, this morning saw tray after tray of sugar cookies at Michael's decorated in support of the Astros' big win. On Thursday night, Houstonians everywhere will no doubt be hoping for home runs as the Astros take on Kansas City, and I for one will be celebrating at a watch party with my own "Go Astros" cookies.

With a location in West U and a storefront in the downtown tunnel system that opened under the Pennzoil building last year, the bakery is a popular stop among Houstonians all day long in dire need of a sugar rush. A delicious way to spread team spirit with your family, co-workers, or kids, and share in the pride the entire city is feeling, a visit to Michael's is a must. Whether you go for the "trending right now" Astros cookie or the ever-popular chocolate chip cookie the bakery is famous for, Michael's Cookie Jar hits it out of the park every time.
