Los Tios is adding its fifth location—just more opportunities for delicious Tex-Mex.

Flower Child in Uptown is still young, but that's not stopping the chain from adding its second Houston-area location. The health-forward concept is coming to The Woodlands, per an announcement Tuesday.

Flower Child specializes in organic, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian fare, from salads and hummus to whole-grain wraps and bowls. It was the second concept from Fox Restaurant Concepts, based in Arizona, to enter the Houston area. North Italia at BLVD Place was the first, while Blanco Tacos + Tequila arrived in the city recently.

A little more news:

While federal employees are back at work, Tony's is opening its doors for a gourmet appreciation lunch. Houston-area federal employees can register here for a free lunch Sunday at the upscale Upper Kirby restaurant. Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., with volunteer support coming from Houston non-profit To Educate All Children.

Houston Tex-Mex stalwart Los Tios is opening a fifth location in Tanglewood (5161 San Felipe St.), and it's set to be the restaurant's flagship. Look for the same classic menu items at this location, plus a new list of seafood and grill options and customized table-side guacamole. The interior will be dressed to evoke a Mexican hacienda, while an outdoor patio is also set for the location. It's set to open this spring.
