A month ago we reported that Flower Child was opening a second Houston location in The Woodlands.

And though the new-car smell is still lingering in the new Woodlands spot, which opened last week, operator Fox Restaurant Concepts has announced a third Flower Child is coming to the Heights.

According to the announcement, a 3,500-square-foot Flower Child will open in early 2020 as part of the new Market at Houston Heights development at 1533 N. Shepherd Drive. The market, which is being developed by Capital Retail Properties with Randy Wile of Wile Interests, Inc., also has space for additional restaurants, offices, and various retailers.

The new Flower Child, which serves up health-forward food, will be brightly colored and have a wraparound terrace.

It's been a busy year for Fox Restaurant Concepts in Houston, as it opened Blanco Tacos & Tequila at the Galleria. It also brought in North Italia to BLVD Place in 2015.
