Bellagreen brought it with its Burger Bash entry.

Sorry, football tailgates, but this year's Houstonia Burger Bash was the most fun a couple hundred people ever had inside a parking garage.

Eight local restaurants and eateries grilled up some outstanding burgers to present at CityCentre's Garage 5 in hopes of being crowned the Burger Bash champion. Judge's awards—the cutest burger trophies we've ever seen—were given out for best presentation and tastiest burger, while guests could also vote for their favorite bite.

Competitors included B&B Butchers & Restaurant, B.B. Lemon, BCK, Bellagreen, Buffburger, The Capital Grille, Rodeo Goat, and The Tasting Room. The winners were:

  • Best Burger, judge's choice: The Tasting Room
  • Best Burger, people's choice: Rodeo Goat
  • Best Presentation: Bellagreen

The judges loved the jalapeño relish atop the Tasting Room's burger, a small but spicy little addition that kicked the taste up to the top. Rodeo Goat's burger included a tangy onion jam that was hard to put down. And Bellagreen's burger, while good, was even more impressive looking on a wood block with a side of homemade chips (trying to butter up the judges, huh?).

In between bites of beef, guests sipped wine; cocktails from Ketel One, Captain Morgan, and Crown Royal; and beer from Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Afterward, Tiff's Treats provided the sweets.

All proceeds for Burger Bash went to Kids' Meals, which makes and delivers free, healthy meals to select preschool-aged children across Houston. Guests also contributed to Kids' Meals with donations and by participating in raffles for restaurant gift cards.
