Bye, Bye, Bar

Montrose Bar Lotti Dotti Closes Abruptly

No more Frose Altuves.

By Timothy Malcolm November 26, 2019

Quickly and quietly, Montrose bar Lotti Dotti closed after service Friday. According to an Instagram post, the bar closed "due to unforeseen circumstances."

Lotti Dotti was a popular place since opening in March at the former Brooklyn Athletic Club space, fronted by Houston bar pro Michael Riojas (formerly Ladybirds) with menu oversight from Adam Dorris (formerly Pax Americana). Boasting a creative menu focusing on frozen drinks, it aimed to be a patio weather staple, and Houstonia named it one of its best bars for 2019.

We also loved the Frose Altuve, and we hope it resurfaces somewhere else in Houston.

While Dorris helped shape the menu, he is now working as executive chef at downtown cafe and eatery Coterie
