He's one of the most prolific offensive players in basketball history. He can single-handedly carry his team into the postseason. Now, James Harden will attempt to do something even more challenging: Own a restaurant.

According to an announcement Thursday, the Rockets star guard is opening Thirteen by James Harden, and is hosting a job fair from 1 to 5 p.m. today and Friday at 1923 Washington Ave.

While the restaurant's address will be officially revealed at a later date, Eater is reporting the restaurant may be at 1911 Bagby St in the Fourth Ward. The announcement says Thirteen will combine "the highest quality food and entertainment with exceptional service in a cosmopolitan and entertaining atmosphere." Hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday–Wednesday, 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday–Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, indicating dinner and brunch service.

Of course, Harden has been the subject of trade rumors since the end of the 2020 NBA season. (That said, the Rockets just traded Russell Westbrook for John Wall.) Does this new restaurant mean the Beard's future in H-Town is secure?

Well, anything can happen. But at the very least, Harden wants to do more in Houston.
