Get B.B. Italia dishes at Fair Food Co. while the restaurant shuts down and moves.

Popular Energy Corridor restaurant B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar is moving and, for the moment, closing. According to an announcement Monday from Berg Hospitality Group, B.B Italia will temporarily close and, in about three months, will reopen at a location to be revealed.

You may remember that before B.B. Italia, the space was occupied by Carmelo's Cucina Italiana. It opened in 2019 along with an in-house pizzeria called B.B. Pizza.

Folks can still order B.B. Italia food through Berg Hospitality Group's cloud kitchen, Fair Food Co. Order online and pick up at 5831 Fairdale Ln in the Galleria area.

Montrose restaurant Riel has teamed up with the LEE Initiative to help Houston-area seniors affected by last week's winter storm. The efforts started Saturday with a delivery of 100 meals to people at National Church Residences and continued Monday with 65 meals going to people at AHEPA 29 Phase III. Deliveries will continue this week and possibly beyond. To donate, visit leeinitiative.org, and click "donate to Texas."

Lucille's 1913, the nonprofit run by Chris Williams of Lucille's in the Museum District, is continuing its meal distribution operations on Wednesday. The nonprofit will give 4,000 free meals to people in Richmond and Rosenberg. People can also get PPE kits and bottled water, as available. Distribution starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friends of North Richmond, 1305 Clay St, Richmond, and Friends of North Rosenberg, 503 3rd St, Rosenberg.
