ALife Hospitality, the Black-owned lifestyle group behind restaurant and nightlife concepts like Lost & Found, Kamp Houston and Prospect Park, has partnered with former Houston Rockets point guard, James Harden for a weekend filled with events.
Back in January, Harden made a statement on Instagram about his separation from the Rockets, making it clear that his exit had nothing to do with the city.
“The city opened its arms and welcomed me and my family as one of its own, and for that, I am forever indebted. I gave my mind, body, and soul in hopes of bringing glory to the city. I fell short, and for that, I am forever indebted,” he wrote.
Far from goodbye couldn’t be more accurate as the NBA player still frequents the city, recentley opening the fine-dining restaurant 'Thirteen,' located in downtown Houston.
Slated for August 27 and 28 at Kamp Houston, the weekend will feature performances from Lil Baby and Chase B – a longtime friend and producer for Travis Scott. Popular beauty and fashion influencers Jayda Wayda and Ari Fletcher will also make appearances. The festivities are being promoted through Harden’s JH-Town Weekend imprint, which helps to raise funds for numerous initiatives. In 2019, the NBA player awarded scholarships and internship opportunities to students facing economic adversity.
General admission for the weekend is free, but presale tickets that include no-line wait range between $40 - $75.
For tickets, fans can visit ALife Hospitality’s Eventbrite. Friday, August 27 - Saturday, August 28. Kamp Houston, 6025 Westheimer Road.
