Floyd Mayweather's Boxing + Fitness Club is getting an all-new location in Houston's Richmond neighborhood early next year.

Health and wellness have been the main focal points of peoples’ lives since the early days of the pandemic, now, almost two years later, it seems the health kick may be here to stay.

Local entrepreneur, Teresa Welch, is passionate about fitness and wants to share her love of healthy living with her community by bringing Mayweather Boxing + Fitness to Houston’s Richmond suburb early next year.

Although the Richmond outpost is one of four area locations, according to a company map, Welch hopes to bring more in the future. “I’ve always been a firm believer in the phrase, health is wealth,” said Welch. “Opening my own Mayweather Boxing + Fitness studio not only lets me get back to a healthier version of me but also gives me the chance to operate a business that pushes people to grow to their full potential and produce true community role models.”

The fitness franchise was opened in 2018 in Los Angeles by retired boxer, Floyd Mayweather. The gym offers a high-intensity experience through a combination of boxing, strength, and cardio conditioning, utilizing training methods used during his boxing career. Those who go to Mayweather Boxing + Fitness will have the option to take classes that last from 45 to 60-minutes and use state-of-the-art smart screen technology to project Mayweather’s image so that members can feel as if they are learning directly from him.

With over 50 locations open, or in presale, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is growing across the country. And who wouldn’t want to train using the methods from one of the greatest boxers ever? The Richmond location is actively enrolling new members, and offering promotions to those who wish to join.
