The Village School provides students an exceptional learning experience through its cutting-edge and innovative curriculum which prepares students with the critical thinking, professional, and leadership skills to create and run their own businesses through its Entrepreneurship Diploma program.

Recognizing a need to prepare students with the skills necessary to navigate the business trends of an ever-changing, global economy, The Village School launched the Entrepreneurship Diploma. The program provides students a rigorous course of study offering a global perspective and covering marketing tactics, financial strategies, negotiations, decision-making skills, international business and trade knowledge and more. Within the Entrepreneurship Diploma program, students can specialize in either the Engineering or Social Enterprise track, both taught by world-class, industry-leading professors, professionals and entrepreneurs.

Through the program, Village students Simran Shah, Trisha Narahari, Vy Nguyen, Jose Rodriguez Aranaga, and Mason Johnson have each developed their own businesses. For example, Narahari’s business, Skywa, eliminates the need to wait in line. Launched in June 2021, Skywa has taken on a high-profile medical clinic client and has created 15 internships for fellow classmates. Shah’s business, Sweet Sparks, is a health-conscious bakery inclusive to food allergies and sensitivities. Developed as a way to address her own dietary restrictions, Sweet Sparks has seen record sales over the last two years of its fully customizable cakes, cookies and more. 

With mentorship, Entrepreneurship Diploma program students collaborate and apply interpersonal skills, while researching, creating, and executing their business idea. The exceptional learning experiences and access to world-class teachers allows students to learn strong entrepreneurship, leadership and management skills, while tackling the challenges of our 21st century global landscape.

As part of the graduation requirements, Entrepreneurship Diploma students are also required to complete an internship with one of our many business and corporate partners. The Village School works closely with entrepreneurs and various businesses and organizations to offer a wide variety of opportunities for students as interns at local and global companies, startups and social enterprises.
