With the dreaded tax season upon us, this excruciating process is where Noris Hernandez, owner and operator of NH Tax Services, shines at her best, offering Houstonians her time, transparency and experience. Resolving her client’s tax situation is her number one priority. 

Born in Central America and raised in Houston, Texas, this once professional model and fashion designer turned to business tax preparation when she realized her own need for a more personalized experience.   

While working for a billion-dollar tax preparation company, she sharpened her business leadership skills by overseeing multiple branch locations. Soon Noris started to dream of her own tax business – one that provided more than just tax preparation including all-year-round tax consulting, peer mentorship and community outreach. The vision and ambition of a young Salvadorian girl came full circle in 2017 when NH Tax Services opened for business. 

One of her most memorable cases was a retired teacher who received an IRS Notice of Delinquency for $115,000 - including interest & penalties. Noris worked with her client to submit evidence to the IRS Commissioner. The result was a proposed refund of $192.00. 

Currently Noris’s bar license is pending as U.S. Tax Court Practitioner (USTCP), which would expand her practice to represent clients challenging IRS deficiency determinations before the U.S. Tax Court.
