Reality star and celebrity chef Roblé Ali made a special appearance at Wednesday’s Carrie Ann boutique relaunch celebration. Heavy rain couldn’t keep away enthusiastic guests who attended for an intimate meet and greet with Roblé and shop the newly renovated space.

The charismatic chef and fragrance aficionado was promoting the debut of his perfume Clique by Roblé. Roblé took the time to chat with every guest and warmly shared samples of the spicy aroma. With scent playing a key role in food and taste, Roblé incorporated his culinary background into the creation process, basing the fragrance on his signature recipes, which include the Chupacabra and French Toast Crunch.

A fan of our city’s cuisine, Roblé sang the praises of several local spots. “Houston has great restaurants,” he explained, “my favorite places include Goode Co. BBQ, Pappasito’s Cantina, and I’m a fan of chef Richard Knight who plans on opening a restaurant in a few months called Hunky Dory.” Roblé briefly worked for Knight, the former chef of the award-winning Feast, in corporate dining downtown.

After four years, boutique owner Carrie Ann Sanders decided to renovate the store to reflect her personality and incorporate her love of dogs who have their very own section of accessories and goodies.

“It’s a new beginning,” Sanders gushed, “the space is more open and it’s visually appealing providing for a better shopping experience.”
