Members of the Saint Arnold cycling team participate in the 2015 Bike Around the Bay charity ride.

A six-pack of beer versus six pack abs—some people would find it absurd to think the two could ever live in harmony, but Houston beer aficionados are out to prove that you don’t have to sacrifice your liquid carbs to stay in shape. Faster than you can say “hefeweizen,” more beer-centered events such as 5k races, bike teams, running groups, or yoga meetups are popping up around town. The events are fun ways to meet new people and try local beer while squeezing in a workout. These four breweries are great places to get started—just be sure to come thirsty!
