Born in London and raised on New York’s Upper East Side, designer Roberta Freymann has spent her life traveling. As her mother was the muse to French designer Jacques Fath, fashion is in Freymann’s blood. After launching her eponymous brand, Roberta Roller Rabbit came to life in 2003 with colorful patterns and sophisticated styles inspired by different countries, cultures, lifestyles and arts, with the name drawn from a scrap of fabric the designer found in India.

“It featured a mythical rabbit, which converted into the legend of Roberta Roller Rabbit…to entertain and clothe the many children in my life,” says Freymann, who was in town for the opening of the brand's first Houston store in River Oaks District. "Inspired by exotic travel locations, our products are also unique and elegant. We are convinced that our customers express themselves through every facet of their lifestyle and we aim to be there when they need some more RRR in their life.”
The enticing world of Roberta Roller Rabbit is like the Pinterest board vacations we all dream about. The travel-inspired line includes colorful patterned clothing and accessories for the entire family as well as home furnishings.
“Houston is a perfect fit for us due to the weather and local style,” said Freymann. “We carry lightweight, colorful products, primarily in cotton, that are ideal for the Houston climate and the happy spirit of the local Houstonians.”
A percentage of the grand opening proceeds benefited The Children’s Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to helping early-stage charities fulfill their mission to provide critical services to disadvantaged children throughout Houston.
