Huge lines + 21 global pop-up shops = how to make a $53 million debt go up in smoke.

We're a little skeptical whenever Kanye West starts paying attention to Houston. Remember when he tried to do a video screening at the Rothko Chapel and the police shut it down? Yeah, us too (some of us lived across the street at the time, and it was a hot mess). When it comes to appreciating Houston, Kanye is cool, but he's no Drake.

So when West announced on Twitter Wednesday that he was opening 21 pop-up stores around the world this weekend—including one in Houston—we didn't know what to expect. We should have known better, as his pop-up in New York this spring reportedly sold over $1 million in merchandise in two days. His 'Pablo' shop is now live outside the Galleria, open today until 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Expect $45 tees, $95 hoodies, customized jackets with Pablo graphics and lines that look like this.
