J.J. Watt Teases His Forthcoming Fashion Collection

The defensive end is flexing his design muscles this summer.

On social media, J.J. Watt tends to be a man of few words (and many abs). So maybe it's not surprising that he teased the launch of his first clothing collection with Mizzen + Main with just the facts.

Yup, Watt, who has been a brand ambassador for the Dallas-based menswear company since 2015, has been collaborating with them on designing a line since at least February, when he leaked to Houstonia that something was in the works.

"It’s something fun that as a defensive lineman you never thought you’d be able to do. With a company like Mizzen + Main—and [CEO] Kevin [Lavelle] is so fun to work with—it’s a lot of fun to kind of flex that muscle," Watt said.

As for the look of the collection, our only clue at the moment is the photo Watt posted to Twitter, which features a solid button-up in a vibrant deep blue under a shiny graphite-colored sharkskin jacket.

"There are some times where I’ve gone a little bit out there with the big patterns, but I would say at the current time I’m back to more classic solid patterns," Watt said of his personal style in February.

How will that translate to his line? We'll find out by July.
