5 Final, Festive Ways to Get Your Holiday Shop On

You procrastinator, you.

By Abby Ledoux December 13, 2017

The 12 days of Christmas officially began today, but who's counting?

We are, actually, because it means the last full shopping weekend is upon us—unless you're a maniac who counts December 22-24 as viable opportunities for commerce.

So here it is, your third and final weekly roundup of five ways to shop the season, beginning tomorrow. If you wait any longer, well, don't say we didn't warn you.

Holiday Market at The Lawn

What: A free artisan market offered in partnership with Pop Shop America every Thursday in December until Christmas. Find elevated holiday shopping offerings in jewelry and home goods, lunch, light bites, and snacks, a gourmet hot chocolate bar, seasonal drinks for sale and appearances by Santa, the Memorial City Reindeer and special musical performances.
When: Thursday, December 14 (11 a.m.–6 p.m.)
Where: The Lawn, 971 Bunker Hill Rd. (next to Hotel ZaZa Memorial City and Ciro's Italian Grill)

December Sawyer Flea

What: A free, curated outdoor market by the folks of Flea at Silver Street with artisan goods, foods, and "everything cool," like jewelry, handmade leather accessories, original art, home decor, candles, soaps, and fair trade/vintage wares.
When: Saturday, December 16 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.)
Where: 2313 Edwards St.

Cuchara Market

What: A unique pop-up shakes up an endless repertoire of eggnog and Christmas crafts with a little south-of-the-border flair. This Mexican restaurant's holiday market promises salsa, vinaigrettes, tortillas, tamales, and more traditional items for gifting, like mini clay nativity sets. Live music, special guests, samples and cocktails, and a hot chocolate cart add to the scene.
When: Saturday, December 16 (11 a.m.–4 p.m.)
Where: Cuchara Restaurant, 214 Fairview St.

Winter Flea By Night

What: The place to be for avid thrifters and treasure hunters, this bustling nighttime market is filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of vendors selling everything from antiques to recycled objects. Local eateries offer light bites for shoppers to snack on while perusing the goods.
When: Saturday, December 16 (6–10 p.m.)
Where: Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney St.

Where: 129 Aurora St.
