Monthly DIY Workshops Return to Downtown District This Spring and Summer

Make your own Pinterest-worthy terrarium.
Get ready to channel your inner Martha Stewart next month when the Downtown DIY series returns for six months of 2019 programing. The partnership between Pop Shop America and Downtown District is back starting on March 13 with craft workshops and social mixers all spring and summer long, each occurring in rotating downtown locations on the second Wednesday of each month through August.
The pop-up neighborhood series launched last year when Downtown District, which handles programing in Market Square Park and Main Street Square, successfully joined forces with local lifestyle media company Pop Shop America to promote "the downtown lifestyle." This year, the workshops return with some added perks, like music, complimentary beer and wine, and snacks from Local Foods and Phoenicia.
The first session will lead participants in dying their own tea towels, and subsequent crafts include everything from making mala bracelets to Pinterest-worthy terrariums. Each workshop, open to anyone 21 and up, is $36/person including supplies and refreshments, and pre-registration is required. Here's what's on deck this season:
