Look good, feel good

10 Looks from Local Influencers to Inspire Your Social Distancing Style

Who says you can't be chic while working from home?

By Rebekah Kibodeaux May 21, 2020

The age of working from home and video conferencing fashion has been one of business on the top, comfy on the bottom, a.k.a. a blazer paired with sweat pants. While we don't fault you for this look—heck, we've done it ourselves—we're of the mindset that we can all elevate our style just a bit as summer rolls in. For inspiration, take a cue from local influencers working from home in style.

WFH Chic

Early morning Zoom calls can be a chore, but they’re the job your cherished fashion leggings have been waiting for all year long.

How has your daily routine changed during this odd period we are in? For me, my daily routine now consist of the following: I work my regular full time job as an engineer between 7:30am-4:30pm from home as opposed to driving to the office everyday, I work out at home during lunch time between 11am-12pm, and I try to fit in editing content/answering emails etc for my influencer/content creator hustle sometime between 4:30pm and before I go to bed. All this is done while also taking care of my 9 month old 😩🤣 Through it all, @stitchfix helps me to stay both comfortable and stylish throughout my busy at home schedule. I put on these @lyssenewyork taylor seamed leggings in the morning and head upstairs to my mini office and then go on to do my workout in them in the afternoon. #StitchFix #StitchFixInfluencer

Day 18! Finished this dress this evening and snuck in some photos just before sunset 🌅 - this fabric is Reformation deadstock rayon crepe from @blackbirdfabrics and I wanted a pattern that was flowy, textured, and really showcased the fabric! If you zoom in you can see little dolphins 🐬 and pigs 🐷. I went with the Mira Dress from @fibremood, which was briefly available for free at the beginning of the month! The only change I made was shortening the sleeves by about 3-4 inches. I’m contemplating adding another ruffle tier with the leftover fabric 🤔 how do y’all feel about the midi dress trend?! - #blackbirdfabrics #memademay #memademay2020 #mmmay2020 #fibremoodmira #fibremood #htxblogger #monstera

Slowly but surely creating my own succulent + plant oasis on our little patio! 🌵🌱🌿 I thought this shirt was V fitting too. 😌 And TBH, I’m not exactly sure what prompted my sudden obsession with plants back in 2016, but if I had to guess they made me feel like a piece of Phoenix was with me all the time, especially the succulents and cacti I bought. Plus, my older brother has a real big green thumb, and I look up to him a lot so it kind of felt natural. 💕 Cheers to a balmy Friday evening from Houston, Texas to yours! • • • #youniquelife💜 #youniquemakeup #youniquepresenter #apartmentpatiogarden #makeupismypassion #makeupjunkie #womensupportingwomen #glowup #makeupoftheday #positivevibesonly✨ #bekindtoothers💕 #houstoninfluencer #houstonblogger #affordableshopper #affordablestyle #internetbesties #target #targetstyle #selftimerforthewin #succulentsofinstagram #youniquemascara #4dmascara #lashprimer #opalhousetarget #bedroominspo #houstonblogger #houstoninfluencer
