Grab These Flight Deals Before Midnight For Cheap Fall Travels

Sweat now, relax later.

Don't let the sun set on a cheaper Tamarindo surf trip.

It's hot. You're inhaling that Saharan dust cloud. But keep your head up—sweet relief is on the way. The Southwest fall sale is happening now with fares as low as $59 one way from Houston, September 2 through December 5. You have until 11:59 p.m. tonight, June 27, to grab deals for flights to Cabo, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and plenty more destinations that will undoubtedly make up for your torturous summer.

Here are our top picks from the Southwest sale, and what we've had to say about recent visits to hotspots easily accessible from those airports—as if you needed more convincing.

Cancun, from $150 one way

A trip to Playa del Carmen may be in order to search for Mexican trolls (impish beings also known as Aluxob, not the online psychopaths) and relax at the Mahekal Beach Resort, as travel contributor Bill Wiatrak deemed "a lovely haven offering the requisite white sandy beach, hammock, infinity pools, and palm trees."

San Jose, Costa Rica, from $184 one way

Boutique hotel Cala Luna in Tamarindo awaits, which Jennifer Simonson writes, "had everything on my wellness wish list, plus a semi private beach with hammocks comfortable enough to relax in all day" if you're not doing yoga, drinking fresh juice, or exploring the world's largest meditation labyrinth nearby.

Los Angeles, From $189 one way

Even if you're not a huge Back To the Future Fan like Bill Wiatrak, a trip to Griffith Park (where part of the movie was filmed) and the Peterson Automotive Museum (home to one of the film's original Deloreans and also in proximity to the outstanding Los Angeles County Museum of Art) are both must-sees in LA.
