Bosscat Kitchen and Libations Reveals Plans for a New Heights Restaurant

The word's out that Bosscat Kitchen and Libations plans to open a sister restaurant later this fall. The Newport Beach concept opened in Houston just this past February and offers Instagram-worthy menu items like “Fruity Pebble French Toast.” Earlier this summer, the owners took a stab at offering lighter fare for lunch and debuted a new menu.
But the new restaurant, BCK: Kitchen and Cocktail Adventures, will be completely different from the heavy menu items over on Westheimer. Diners can expect a menu of “nostalgic American fare” in a space formerly occupied by the Glass Wall restaurant in the Heights.

“The Heights is the perfect neighborhood for this type of creativity,” owner John Reed says. “It’s going to give us a great canvas to step outside the box.”
The menu will play off of each member of the team’s own background, offering a little bit of everything. While Reed and chef Peter Petro are originally from the Northeast, Leslie Nguyen (“Miss Bosscat”) and Tai Nguyen are Vietnamese-American. Vinnie Capizzi is Italian-American, and Matt Sharp, Bosscat’s bar director, a true Californian. Diners can expect to taste suggestions of Italian and Vietnamese cuisines mixed with all-American fare.
