Here's what Karbach is serving up for brunch in March.

we Hope rodeo season and the cooler temperatures have been treating you well. Let's get to the news:

  • The team at Karbach wants to show off their new Blood Orange Radler, and they’re so confident in it as a mimosa replacement that they’ll be hosting weekend brunches through the end of March to show it off. Dishes on the menu include a crab cake benedict and steak and eggs.
  • According to their Facebook page, Fig & Olive is officially open in the Galleria. Judging from the photos, it’s a stunner.
  • You have until March 31 to grab one last bite at Underbelly before it starts the transition to becoming Georgia James. Want to help send it off? The Underbelly Closing Party/Hay Merchant Anniversary Party takes place on April 1. The $40 ticket will get you all you can eat and two drink tickets, plus access to the Hay Merchant anniversary bar which features all sorts of rare treats available by the glass. 
  • Because you can never have too many places where you can grab a drink and throw an axe, you’ll be happy to know that the Urban Axes franchise is coming to Houston. They join Houston Axe Throwing in the realm of “date night ideas you never realized you wanted until they were presented to you.” (H/T to Houston Business Journal
  • Vibrant is coming to Montrose, and you’ll want to have space on your smartphone to snap photos of the beautiful bowls they’ll be serving. It’ll be located at 1931 Fairview, and feature a savory and sweet menu of healthy dishes created by chef and popular Instagrammer Alison Wu. (H/T to Eater Houston
  • Everyone knows about Perry’s pork chop, but there’s more to the menu than just that iconic piece of meat, including some new seafood options they’ve just introduced, which is good news for our friends still abiding by Lent. The new options include: Everything Crusted Ahi Tuna, Crispy Skin Wild Red Snapper, Atlantic Salmon (prepared one of three ways) and Pan Seared Sea Bass. Yes, the Ahi Tuna is inspired by bagel flavors.
  • Want a different kind of Houston Zoo experience? On April 26, see the animals and sample some of the best beer Texas has to offer at Brew at the Zoo. Tickets are $45 and include admission to the event, a souvenir mug, six 4-ounce beer samples and more. Designated drivers can get in on the beer-free fun for $25. Find out more over at the Houston Zoo’s website, and remember: don’t be the person that gets wasted at the zoo.
  • Get the taste of Spain here at home with a special seven-course tapas wine dinner over at Lucille’s on March 21. Executive Chef Chris Williams will be cooking up authentic tapas that’ll be paired with unique Spanish wines that have no retail presence. Tickets are $85 plus tax and gratuity.
  • Do you know how old your favorite dish is? If that dish is Pears Belle Helene, then you’ll be happy to know it’s turning 154 this year, and you can celebrate over at Bistro Provence on March 15, where it will be available at both lunch and dinner.
