Cidercade (the Austin location seen here) is opening this week.

Do you like cider? (People scream "yes.") Do you like games? (People scream "yes.") Do you like cider and games? (People scream a loud "yes.")

Well, you're in luck, because Cidercade Houston is opening on Friday at 2320 Canal St in EaDo.

This is an 18,000-square-foot "bar-cade" with about 300 arcade games; other amusements, like foosball, bumper pool, air hockey, shuffleboard, skeeball, and Dance Dance Revolution; and 48 taps serving hard cider, wine, hard kombucha, and hard seltzer.

Cidercade Houston is the third of its kind from owners Joel and Laura Malone, the first two opening in Dallas (2015) and Austin (2020). The Malones developed the concept back in '15 when considering options for expansion of their Dallas-based Bishop Cider Co. Naturally, Cidercade Houston will serve plenty of Bishop Cider Co. products.

Along with the drinks and games, Cidercade Houston will host food trucks. It's $10 per day or $15 per month to play at the Cidercade, with drinks extra. For more, visit the Cidercade website.
