The Goode Company restaurant empire is continuing its Houston takeover. Goode Co. recently announced their acquisition of Down House in the Heights, which shuttered its doors in February after 10 years in the Heights community.

What's to come for Goode Co.? We don't know ... yet. Chef and president of Goode Co. restaurants, Levi Goode, has yet to share the concept and opening date for the future Goode Co. location, but the now-defunct restaurant is complete with a bar and patio.

"Goode Co. is always looking for great spaces and new neighborhoods to become a part of, and we are excited to be opening one of our concepts in the Heights area," said Goode in a statement. "While we don’t have details on the specific concept and opening date, we look forward to doing something Goode in this historic Houston neighborhood."

Goode Co. was originally founded by Levi's father, Jim Goode, and has been expanding over the past few years, with the development of multiple outposts in the Greater Houston area—another barbecue diner in the Woodlands in 2017 and the Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina in Memorial the year after.

We'll be back with an update on what's to come from the forthcoming Goode Co. domain at 1801 Yale.
