Five 12 Restaurant Concepts, the restaurant group that's brought Dish Society to Houston, has recently announced a new addition to their roster. The new 'casual restaurant' Daily Gather, has emerged from the dining conglomerate and will make its debut in Midway's City Centre.

Released in a statement, the goal for the new everyday casual concept is to cater to families, offering a new posh location for the community to frequent 一whether a date night, a friendly outing, or a family dinner. "With Daily Gather, there are a lot of synergies with Dish Society, including serving much of the same demographic, just in a different way," says Dish Society founder, Aaron Lyons.

According to Lyons, the concept for Daily Gather has been five years in the making. After developing the business plan for Dish Society while studying for his MBA at the University of Texas, he'd contemplated ideas for an additional concept for Five 12, and enlisted the help of Chef Brandi Key, who formally sat at the helm of Alice Blue

"I had a few ideas from a menu perspective, and that’s largely why I reached out to Brandi. I knew she was going to understand what I was trying to accomplish and take it to another level," he says.

Following in the footsteps of Dish Society, the forthcoming scratch kitchen will place an emphasis on sourcing locally, with a refined menu curated by Key. Patrons can expect to see large shareable plates and "nostalgic American classics" such as burgers and ribs. Key has plans to rotate the menu as the seasons change, to highlight seasonal  produce. Daily Gather's beverage program will include fresh-pressed juices, Greenway coffee, as well as local craft beers, wines, and house cocktails.

The impending concept will employ 60 staff members and occupy 6000 square feet, accomodating 150 guests indoors, complete with 8 and 12-top tables. The outdoor patio is a spacious 2500 square feet, with room for an additional 100 guests.

With the first Houston location opening approaching, Lyons already has plans for expansion, and wants to bring the concept in one or two additional spaces in the Bayou City.

Daily Gather will open in fall 2021 in CityCentre, 800 Sorella Court, Suite, 940. For more information, visit their website.
