A truckload of shoes rolls into River Oaks District this weekend.

The TM Closet

When: Thursday, October 31—Sunday, November 3; 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Where: River Oaks District, 4444 Westheimer Rd.
What: Carrie Bradshaw, eat your heart out. The first-ever traveling shoe closet rolls into River Oaks District this weekend thanks to direct-to-consumer luxury brand Tamara Mellon (the namesake designer also co-founded Jimmy Choo). The TM Closet is an experiential activation via a 24-foot truck with floor-to-ceiling glass panels full of the online brand's best-selling silhouettes IRL, like the slouchy Icon boot and leopard-print Siren pump.

Thorn & Moon Magical Market

When: Friday, November 1; 7 p.m.–midnight
Where: Avant Garden, 411 Westheimer Rd.
What: What better way to celebrate Day of the Dead than with a spooky, mystical market? This monthly event features hand-crafted oddities and unique wares (think crystals and candles, skull lamps, and "goth yoga wear," for instance) from local occult vendors and artists for after-dark shopping. This month features an ofrenda, and guests are welcome to bring a photo of a departed loved one for the altar. Separately, from 9–11, spirit medium Katrina Cooper leads Spellbound Spirits, an intimate, Victorian-style seance upstairs ($30; tickets are limited).

Favor the Kind Birthday Soirée

When: Saturday, November 2; 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Where: Favor the Kind, 642 Yale St.
What: The beloved bohemian Heights Mercantile boutique is turning two years old—how adorable. To celebrate, they're throwing a party with bites (including from next-door Postino), cocktails and bubbly (okay, and Topo Chico), candles by Wick & Wag, braid bar from Lakota Room Salon, and the Picked Flower Co. flower truck. Forget being fashionably late: Gift bags stuffed with goodies from Paloma Nails and Lemon Laine will go to the first 25 shoppers.

Dress for Success Handbag Drive

When: Saturday, November 2; 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Where: Universal Standard, 1202 Hawthorne St.
What: Gather any gently used handbags collecting dust in your closet and bring them to Universal Standard's brand-new Montrose home to be donated to Dress for Success Houston. They'll take any other professional attire you'd like to pass on, too. Plus, it's a chance to see the cozy community space that houses all the size-inclusive (00–40), elevated essentials the brand is known for.

25th Hour at Orangetheory

When: Sunday, November 3
Where: All Houston-area Orangetheory studios
What: We've all been there: You want to work out, but "there's just not enough time in the day." But this weekend, Orangetheory is calling you out. Daylight saving's time officially ends on Sunday, meaning we get an extra hour, and the fitness chain wants you to use it to sweat. As such, all Houston-area studios are offering a free class—to non-members and members who bring someone new to class—to maximize your 25th hour with an ultra-efficient, metrics-driven workout.
