City's Culinary Bounty on Display at Rodeo Uncorked

More than 100 area restaurants and vendors attempted to wow the judges.

By Timothy Malcolm February 19, 2019

A cool 118 restaurants and vendors from across the Houston area participated in the best bites competition of this year's Rodeo Uncorked!, the annual food and wine event that helps build anticipation for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. With that much of a spread, really anything can happen, but it also illustrates the stunning diversity of offerings we have here in H-Town.

The dishes were paired with wines from the 2019 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition, which was held in November. Winners from that event included Graham Beck Brut Rosé, from South Africa; and Muriel Reserva, Rioja DOCa, from Spain.
