Hallelujah, Houston: It’s patio time! These are our three absolutely favorite spots in town to savor the weather, rosé in hand:
The Grove
An idyllic spot inside Discovery Green, this restaurant from celebrity chef Robert Del Grande offers rooftop seating amid its herb gardens. We love to visit at happy hour—which brings inexpensive beer, prosecco, and daily specials—and savor life as we take in the park’s century-old oaks and, rising in the distance, the Houston skyline.
a’Bouzy
What’s a happy hour without salmon and ahi tuna tartare and a Château Miraval rosé? A brunch without baked oysters and Moët & Chandon champagne? With its large patio facing Westheimer, decked out with white umbrellas and ceiling fans, this lively spot with a robust bottle list is the scene of many a spontaneous celebration.
Betsy’s at Evelyn's Park
This restaurant inside the popular park—formerly Ivy & James, now a casual American hangout from the brains behind Adair Kitchen and Eloise Nichols—offers pizza, charcuterie, burgers, beer, and wine. Stake your claim at one of the shaded tables in the large garden, the perfect spot to sit and relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
