Yale Street heading into the Heights turned into a turbulent river yesterday afternoon as rains from Hurricane Harvey filled up the adjacent White Oak Bayou. Where the bayou ran alongside TC Jester to the west, residents of Timbergrove Manor were forced to evacuate as the bayou spilled from its banks and into the tree-lined neighborhood.
Today, however, the waters have begun receding in many areas of the Heights. Above, scenes from the area near Ella Boulevard and 22nd Street as the neighborhood begins to recover.
