Whether you're a Newstonian, a concerned onlooker from afar, or simply unfamiliar with every nook and cranny of the city, it can be difficult to judge the extent of Houston's flooding if you're unfamiliar with what the landscape typically looks like on a non-catastrophically-stormy day.
