Here's How Restaurants, Bars Are Preparing for Hurricane Laura

Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall Wednesday evening somewhere along the Gulf Coast. It could hit in Galveston or points east—we're still not quite sure. Regardless, Laura is a major weather event that could impact Houstonians both in the immediate future and beyond. Keep up with our storm coverage here.
We're finding out what restaurants, bars, breweries, and other food-and-drink establishments are doing with Laura on its way. Whether they're closing, changing hours, offering specials and deals, or pivoting in some way, we have updates:

Aria Suya: Closing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, will reassess for Thursday.
Brennan's of Houston: Last reservation at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, open for lunch Thursday at 11 a.m.
Avondale Food & Wine: Open until 8 p.m. Free delivery and 10 percent discount on wine cases.
Backstreet Cafe: Closed Wednesday, will reassess for Thursday.
Bludorn: Will be closed Wednesday.
Caracol: Closed Wednesday, will reassess for Thursday.
Dak & Bop: Closed Thursday.
Dish Society (all locations): Closing at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Molina's Cantina (all locations): Closing at 8 p.m. Wednesday, open for lunch Thursday at noon.
Montrose Cheese & Wine: Open noon-5 p.m. Wednesday with delivery available until 3 p.m.
New York Deli & Coffee Shop/Houston Catering Concepts: Four kinds of nosh boxes are available—deli meats with matzo ball soup; breakfast tacos with your choice of protein, plus Nova lox and potato pancakes; egg salad, tuna salad, edamame salad, and Moroccan salad; and a dozen bagels with lox, cream cheese, and whitefish and salmon salads. One Fifth Mediterranean: Curbside takeout and delivery only from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Closed Wednesday night.
Phat Eatery: Closing at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Riel: The sandwich popup Louie's will offer $12 to-go sandwiches and $9 to-go cocktails Wednesday.
Roegels Barbecue Co.: The smokehouse will be open Wednesday but will evaluate conditions constantly. Also, pastrami day is moving to Wednesday this week so that people can get smoked-meat Reubens ahead of the storm.
Rosie Cannonball: Closed Wednesday, uncertain about Thursday. Spritz Patio will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.
Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant: Closed Wednesday.
State Fare Kitchen & Bar: The restaurant just launched a to-go beverage program with cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine. Get frozen flights (margarita, mai tai, frosé) and Bloody Mary and margarita kits. Those can last up to a week in a freezer. Order at statefaretx.com.
